Obligatory inaugural welcome post
Aloha all or none, however many end up reading this; I'm Fuza, a particularly pink man who has lots of thoughts that I want written somewhere, for the sake of something or other.
I want to welcome you warmly to my blog, maintained from the far reaches of the world. Though this cove is castaway, it's anything but lonely; I have connection via the shiny rock witchcraft that is technology, after all.
Funnily enough, I've consistently tried to do something related to getting thoughts out there, but never really had much success between domain hosting, consistency, my own expectations and other garbage factors.
I haven't put much thought into how I want to run this thing, which is probably how I'm going to keep it. Don't expect anything and you can't end up disappointed, right? That seems to be how every other attempt failed, anyways; not allowing myself to do whatever, with zero regard for what's done "traditionally"
I owe a good pal of mine, Sh0, for the kick in the ass that started this effort. He's recently opened a blog from the same indie-internet source that this one comes from, "bearblog.dev", but with a great deal more finesse. Without trying to sound shill-y, he really did inspire me to try blogging again with how candidly he put his own wishes to word about creation

In writing this I'm seeing a bit of a pattern in my attempts to do things: I expect the world and end up disappointed when I invariably fail to deliver on said impossible expectations.
Wowie.
Hopefully with some elbow grease and a bit of luck, I can break that habit one step at a time.
Basically, expect whatever random, trivial thoughts I felt like typing in the moment, but more particularly expect frequent subjects to be of the following things&stuff™:
- Content creation
- Language learning
- Whatever media consumption I've been doing
This is turning out to be more words than I thought I'd type, even despite the explicit effort to be as laid back as possible in doing this. I'm pretty sure that's an oxymoron anyways, but I'll cut the fluff and tie things off with a nice moment from today:
10-07-2024: Mabinogi Eternity (an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the Korean MMO "Mabinogi") had a promo trailer shown off during their summer showcase event. It's enough to make a grown man cry.
That man is me.
I loved Mabinogi wholeheartedly as a child, and having recently gone back to play it once again (this time on stream) I was amazed to enjoy it as much as I did, or maybe even a little more.
If you've never heard of it, give this song a listen:

Here's to hoping for more laid back blogging
